About us

Vintage Pinball was founded by the late Nick Whiting, who had his base in the Midlands. Nick had a passion for these electro-mechanical marvels and restored many worn out and tired machines back to their former glory and was a huge asset to both the dedicated collector and wider Pinball community.
Doug Redfarn, founder of Classic Pinballs, now operates the site to carry on with Nick’s mission and to continue maintaining the very high standard of both work and customer service for customers, old and new.
Doug has also been featured in BBC Radio 4’s ‘Happy birthday, Tommy Walker’ a programme made to celebrate the 50th anniversary of the film ‘Tommy’. Because Doug owned an example of the Gottlieb ‘Kings & Queens’ pinball machine as featured in the film, the BBC producers wanted to record the sounds of it starting up and being played, complete with its bells ringing! The programme can sometimes be heard on the ‘listen again’ feature on their website.
More recently, in 2022, we were commissioned to renovate and overhaul a Gottlieb ‘Central Park’ for Channel 4’s T.V show, ‘Find it, fix it and flog it’. This machine was in a very tired and sorry condition but after the work was completed, the machine sold via their auction process and made them a reasonable profit which was a very gratifying outcome for all concerned.
And in 2023, we also feature in the new TV programme series ‘The Retro-Electro Show’ that is soon to be screened on UK TV.

The Vintage Pinball Company offers its customers a complete solution, Repairs, Commisions, Servicing, Overhauls and Sales of fully restored machines that can be tailored to your requirements, right across the U.K.
